The Domestic Animal Rescue Group (DARG) is a non-profit animal shelter situated in Hout Bay, Cape Town that rescues, nurtures, sterilises and rehomes previously abused, neglected and abandoned cats and dogs.

“We give dogs and cats a second chance,” declares the organisation, which does not put animals down. DARG provides opportunities to the surrounding communities of Imizamo Yethu, Hangberg and the Hout Bay area at large and relies on the public’s generosity to keep its operations running.

The organisation is pleading with the public to help pay their vet bill for the month, which they say is very costly because of the number of animals they have treated.

“Please consider donating directly into our account at Hout Bay Vet or into our DARG account. Every donation big or small helps,” said DARG.
