InFusion on Long Street opened its doors on 1 April 2021 and has been offering patrons a taste of the high life ever since. We were fortunate to pay this unique eatery yet another visit as their upstairs bar has now opened! Needless to say, our munchies were catered for once more, and we left feeling full and satisfied as a couple of new surprising treats have been added to the menu, writes Cape {Town} Etc’s Leigh-Ann Londt.

I pictured myself as Alice in Wonderland, walking up the stairs and not knowing what to expect once reaching the top. But a mesmerising green light directed me into paradise as I stood in awe of the cannabis-inspired decor. The comfortable booths were calling my name, offering a cosy sanctuary while the newly-built bar boasts its bright green ‘Infusion Bar’ logo.
An ice-cold ‘420 daquiri’ set the tone for a pretty amazing night, and consisted of fresh Basil, Rum, Mary Jane Basil and Kiwi cordial blended.
Mac ‘N Rib Canna- Quettes on the tapas menu piqued my interest, and I just had to discover the culinary magic that lies behind the dish. Delicious and tender pulled beef rib with macaroni, coated in seasoned crumbs, fried until golden brown, and served on a layer of Pomodoro sauce was as scrumptious as it sounds!
The gracious host, Gavin, who made sure that everything was absolutely perfect, suggested that I try the brand new CBD infused sushi and recommended the Tempura Prawns and a Salmon platter consisting of Crispy Crunch Salmon, Salmon Roses and Salmon Rainbow Rolls. My tastebuds were doing somersaults out of pure joy!
The Lambo was the recommended dish for the mains, and consisted of 250g of lamb rump, on a smooth and tantalising cranberry and mint jus, served with charred parsnips puree and bedazzled with leek crisps. The Deconstructed Tacos tempted me to grab a bite or two, and that’s exactly what I did! This experience allows guests to build their own CBD taco, with filling choices or mature cheddar, salsa verde, chilli con con and guacamole.
I ended off my night with a Rainbow Kush cocktail and a Rocky Road for dessert that included an irresistible slice of CBD chocolatey goodness with a combo of marshmallows, cherries and gummies served with home-made vanilla ice-cream.
InFusion On Long now also boasts a delicious breakfast menu and a ton of new surprising, delicious and drool-worthy foodie delights that will keep you coming back for more! Check out their online menu here.
