Most of us know the feeling of overestimating how much time we have to get a loved one a gift, and with Mother’s day right around the corner, that feeling of time running away might have a few of us in a spin.
Luckily, there are amazing pop-ups in Cape Town like Sip and Shop Pop Up that understands this dilemma, especially when it comes to unique gifts, curiosities and shopping experiences.

Sip and Shop was started by Thembisa Gqerta “as a way to create a shopping experience bringing together inclusive, small-scale makers,” says Benn Ndzoyiya of the fabulous experience.

Showing off handcrafted items from trendy fashion pieces to homeware must-haves and foodie wonders, the pop up offers a treasure chest of wonders that you simply can’t find in big retail stores. African materials and activewear and GMO-free spices are another hot take that Sip and Shop has to offer.

As for the sipping, visitors get a free welcoming drink upon arrive – hence the sipping and shopping nature of the pop-up. The event is family-friendly too, and once you and the clan are done exploring, you can pop over to enjoy a breakfast, lunch or dinner at one of the nearby restaurants.
