Many of us have experienced the utter heartbreak of losing a beloved furry friend and the DARG team took to their Facebook page to share a story that will definitely tug at your heartstrings.
Derek was the dad of the late Jonesey. In honour of his dog and companion for 14.5 years, Derek decided to donate R10 000 to DARG. Jonesey and his dad returned to the UK a while back, but Derek never forgot where Jonesey spent most of his life.
Derek asked the DARG team to buy dog food with his donation and then possibly motivate more people to donate food to DARG.
“We are so incredibly grateful to The Crazy Store who loved this story and discounted their Best Buds Dog Food so we could get 100 x 8kg bags for the R10 000. And then they threw in another 50 bags as a donation in honour of Jonesey,” the DARG team said.
