The official Top 30 Miss South Africa contestants have been announced, offering an array of accomplished women representing our different provinces, hailing from all corners of the Rainbow Nation.
While Gauteng has the most contestants gunning for the throne (13) the Western Cape has five lovely contenders both newcomers and those determined to try again. Miss SA has shared the insights and essence of these queens, and these are the women representing the Western Cape for Miss SA 2022:
Bianca Bezuidenhout (23)
Bianca was part of the Miss SA 2021 Top 5 finalists. If you didn’t follow Bianca’s journey last year, she’s a Marketing Communications graduate who is also a full-time volunteer, ambassador and marketing manager of a non-profit, Forward Foundation. Alongside this, she’s an entrepreneur who owns She Succeeds, a swimwear company.
Bianca says that she “would love to meet the mayor of Cape Town, Geordin Hill-Lewis, to discuss ways to implement skills development programmes within the Western Cape communities.”
Chuma Matsaluka (24)
Chuma hails from Nyanga, and has a triple major degree from the University of Cape Town (UCT) in Anthropology, Industrial Sociology as well as Politics and Governance. She’s currently on her way to get her honours in anthropology whilst being a fashion model and content creator simultaneously.
Luvé Meyer (25)
Luvé is from Brackenfell and currently co-owns a business whilst being a full-time model and keeping to the goal of getting her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. Luvé has her Bachelor of Arts in Health Science and Social Services, and an Honours degree in Psychology.
Tamsyn Jack (25)
Tamsyn reigns from Somerset West and currently works with some of the country’s top start-ups and small businesses. She’s an entrepreneur equipped with a BSc Food Science degree from Stellenbosch University.
Tyhler Duimpies (23)
Tyhler from Beaufort West is an animal lover who has her NQFL 4 and 5 in Marketing Management and is currently a marketing volunteer.
