Among the recent developments appearing in the foreshore is the new AC Marriott Hotel, which will be opening its doors in December 2018.
The establishment is the first under the Marriott Hotel’s lifestyle brand to arrive in Africa. Marriott Hotels are renowned for their diverse offerings in accommodation around the world – catering to the luxurious and the simple.
Boasting 188 elegant rooms, the AC Marriott Cape Town showcases uninterrupted views of Table Mountain, Lions Head and Signal Hill.
The hotel is located within walking distance to the V&A Waterfront and a convenient 25-minute drive away from the Cape Town International Airport.
Created with a minimalist, simple and modern design, the hotel echoes earthy tones throughout.
An in-house restaurant is among the attractive aspects of the hotel, offering a taste of the brand’s Spanish roots with tapas made from fresh and locally sourced ingredients.
A gym is available on the premises offering cardio machines and a weights centre. Guests can cool down at the hotel pool with towels provided.
Catering to corporate events, a fully kitted-out business/conference room is available.
Rates
There are three different pricing options available for travellers and guests, including discounts and alternative options. Exclusive Marriott Rewards members are given a discount on accommodation costs.
The prices below are applicable from the start of December 2018.
The standard rate
A Guest Room with one King Bed and a harbour view is available for R2 000 per night with breakfast included.
The King suite is available for R3 500 per night.
Exclusive Marriott Reward members pay R 1 960 per night
Prepay and save rate
A prepay and save option is non-refundable if cancelled more than a day after booking.

Deals and packages
Deals and packages rates are only offered to South African Airways (SAA) Voyager members, Mariott Rewards members and SPG. To apply, guest must have a valid SAA Voyager membership card and 1 000 airline partner miles per stay.
