okja has opened a brand new café on Kloof Street and it’s really rad. This is the brand’s second store, with the first located in Camps Bay.
Now, 77 Kloof Street is okja’s snazzy headquarters – a delicious addition to one of Cape Town’s most popular strips.

Going beyond creamy cuppas, the café and headquarters is a double-storey delight. It’s a business upstairs and a plant-based party downstairs, in the form of a stylish café and cookie factory.
The cookie factory is a fun and yum addition, unique to the Kloof Street store. It serves as a test kitchen where okja’s flavour magicians are constantly developing new recipes and products.
Vegan or not, all of okja’s products are dreamy. Their freshly baked cookies are to die for: generously sized, with a crunchy exterior and a fabulously chewy interior. The perfect dunk for any coffee order.
Their vegan croissants and other flaky bakes are equally gorgeous from chocolate hazelnut babka to cinnamon swirls.
In the mood for savoury? Sink your teeth into a world-class bagel or sarmie. The hummus, avo and tomato bagel is a winner.
Whether you’re visiting Camps Bay or Kloof, everything on offer is made fresh each morning in the test kitchen by a brilliant in-house pastry chef. Staying true to the spirit of oat milk, everything is plant-based and made with only the finest ingredients, including dog treats!
All of okja’s products are available to purchase too: the whole oat milk range; chocolate hazelnut spread; and a recently launched organic coffee bean range.

“Our cafés are beacons for our brand, shrines for our fans, and live consumer testing kitchens,” says co-founder, Rui Esteve.
