Few people love their four-legged friends as much as Capetonians do – often, people are seen doing a variety of activities with their dogs in tow, whether it be something as mundane as shopping or adventurous like hiking. Dog-lovers will be pleased to hear that a six-star dog hotel is open on the Foreshore, and it promises to be a dog’s delight.

The dog hotel, called SUPERWOOF, encompasses bright pop art combined with a superhero theme, and hosts an open-sky deck for dogs to relax and enjoy the pool. All the furniture is also made to fit all sizes of dog.

The best part of the SUPERWOOF hotel is that it also hosts an on-site doggie adoption service, where those who are ready for a four-legged friend can find a companion for life.

The adoption service is run by Oscars Arc, which is a non-profit organisation (NPO) started with the aim of enriching the lives of shelter dogs and finding homes for those who have no home. Visitors are allowed to play with the dogs to build a connection, and take them for walks as well.

The service is known for its pop-ups across Cape Town, but will have a permanent home at the SUPERWOOF hotel from February 6.
