The Cellars-Hohenort Hotel & Spa in Constantia has just revealed its revamped restaurant and public spaces, with the upgrades extending to its Conservatory Restaurant and terrace, as well as the lounge and bar area.
The hotel’s communal areas now exude a contemporary charm that pays homage to the stunning gardens and ancient Camphor trees that grace its grounds.
HotCocoa Interiors & Design have skilfully crafted this new look, which weaves together layers of richness and a delightful touch of whimsy, all while honouring the deep-rooted heritage of this iconic establishment.

The primary objective of the redesign was to create an indoor oasis, seamlessly connecting guests with the lush gardens by opening up the spaces with floor-to-ceiling windows. This design philosophy serves to harmoniously unite dining and relaxation areas with the natural beauty outside.
Jacqui Elliott, the CEO of The Liz McGrath Collection, believes that this interior upgrade is poised to elevate The Cellars-Hohenort Hotel & Spa to new heights.
She states, ‘Moving with the times to complement the design of our guest bedrooms, which are constantly being refreshed and upgraded, our grand old lady is stepping up with a contemporary new look. With its forest garden theme, The Conservatory Restaurant is set to truly live up to its name as a tranquil yet vibrant modern space to relax and enjoy world-class cuisine and beverages.’
Elliot adds, ‘It is a space that was designed to appeal to a sophisticated audience of locals and international travellers alike, and we are therefore very excited to open our doors and welcome guests to enjoy our 5-star hospitality and service.’
