For many Capetonians, Sunday has always been deemed the day dedicated to the sacred Sunday lunch. Whether with traditional carveries or Malay-style chicken and yellow rice, it’s all about spending time enjoying a delicious meal with family.
But every now and then, you simply need a break from the rigmarole of prepare, cook, eat, repeat. Thankfully, the Mother City is filled with restaurants that offer delectable dishes that do justice to this highly important meal.

One such establishment is the Peach Tree Restaurant at The Cullinan Hotel, who have just extended their Sunday Lunch offer until 6 August 2023.
With the opulent setting of an inner-city hotel, Peach Tree offers you an opportunity to toss the apron aside, grab your keys and wallet (don’t forget to grab the family too) and embark on a guided all-you-can-eat journey of Cape Malay flavours.
Every first and last Sunday of each month, a five-course dining experience, with all the delicious Sunday lunch trimmings we love, is served
Here’s what you can expect:
The five-course meal starts off with a delectable soup-of-the-day, individually served, followed by a selection of salads.
A fish course will then be presented, family-style, at your table followed by the main course from their legendary carvery and buffet.
Finally, a decadent selection of buffet desserts will be presented for your sweet-tooth to revel.
