#HighburyHearsYou – we at Cape Town Etc are passionate about getting local restaurants back and booming in business. As part of our #HighburyHearsYou initiative, we’re dishing out the deets on some incredible restaurants in and around town.

Utopia, situated on the 15th floor of the Capital Mirage building, is one of Cape Town’s highest sitting restaurants that boasts a 360-degree view of the Mother City.

Utopia has become a destination of celebration, with events happening almost every week. A five-course tasting menu is something to celebrate in itself…  At R195 per person or R350 with a 100 ml wine-pairing per course, this treat is an absolute steal!

The restaurant’s menu features divine seafood starters, succulent meat courses, and some decadent desserts. These dishes were all created and beautifully presented by Chef Pavel Dimitrov and his team.

Here’s what you can expect to find on Utopia’s divine menu.

  • Ceviche of fresh line fish, cured with lime juice and seasoned with red onion, red peppers, olive oil, and fresh chilli – a refreshing and colourful start to the meal.
  • Spicy Prawns, sautéed with chilli, and with garlic, tomato, capers, and flambéed with white wine.
  • Springbok fillet, pan-roasted, served with parsnip purée, and a Port wine jus.
  • Sautéed beef served with Lyonnaise onions, wild mushrooms, and veal jus.

The cherry on top is the Créme Brûlée dessert. Its vanilla-baked custard and seasonal fresh berries as colourful as the view onto Bo-Kaap.
