Cape Point, Cape Agulhas and Hermanus are expected to bear the brunt of heavy winds, which could make navigating at sea difficult, with small vessels and personal watercraft such as kayaks being at risk of taking on water and capsizing due to quick, successive steep waves. Localised disruptions to beachfront activities can be expected.

Paarl, Malmesbury, Cape Town CBD and Stellenbosch can expect disruptive rains, which could result in flooding of roads and settlements – both formal and informal. This could also cause significant traffic disruption and increase the likelihood of vehicle accidents, especially during peak hour traffic on Monday morning. ‘Disruption to essential services such as water and electricity supply can be expected, Mudslides and/or rockfalls are also possible. Fallen trees are likely due to high soil saturation and windy conditions.’
