After a much-needed weekend of rain, Capetonians can look forward to this Friday not just for the public holiday but also a little more rain which is forecast to arrive.

Locals can expect scattered showers ushering in the weekend and cool temperatures, with lows of 14°C and highs of 18°C. The rest of the weekend will be cool and cloudy until Monday, when warmer temperatures are predicted.

Residents have their fingers crossed that the rainy weather of late will increase the Cape’s overall dam levels.

Dam levels as of April 8 are at 49.1%, with the lowest dam, Theewaterskloof, at 38.4%, followed by Steenbras Lower which is at 45.5% of its maximum capacity.
