With the beginning of December and the start of the festive season, there’s no better time to unveil ‘Kimushki’ to you all!

After many months of hard work; curating the brand, refining and distilling – founder Kim Zanasi is ready for this new season and a career change, armed with ‘The Brave’ – the smoothest new gin on the SA spirits scene.

Just in time to take the stress out of festive season gifting, be prepared to add this masterpiece to your Christmas wish-list, and fast.

‘Your Time. Your Spirit.’ is the slogan that rings so true for the multi-talented entrepreneur behind Kimushki and this new boutique brand that creates exceptionally distilled small-batch spirits.

Kimushki founder, Kim, originally a tourism tech entrepreneur from Cape Town, has always enjoyed a good quality spirit to end off a productive week. Struck by the unfortunate events of COVID-19, she followed her motto of ‘live and let live’ and bravely reinvented herself.

Venturing into the craft spirit industry for the first time to create her very own label, ‘Kimushki’, her debut gin aptly named ‘The Brave’ captures the courage, bravery, and strength around its entry into market.

“Our brand was born to encapsulate the spirit of individuality, to celebrate living a balanced lifestyle and the courage to venture into the unknown,” explains Kim Zanasi.

For most people, changing careers and following your dreams is a challenge enough. The passion has obviously already paid off in Kim’s case, with Kimushki launching to almost-instant success with ‘The Brave’ having recently earned the huge honour of a double-gold award in the latest Michelangelo Wine and Spirits Awards 2020 edition.

Kimushki’s debut gin, The Brave, is elegantly distilled with grape spirit alcohol using a combination of vapour infusion and vacuum distillation methods. Passion fruit is the heart of this bold ten botanical gin. It is steeped in grape-based neutral spirit for up to three weeks, and further distilled with juniper using vacuum distillation. Aged in first-fill French oak Chardonnay barrels for its signature colour and fruity notes, it imbues a sense of elegance and power.

With so much effort put into the bespoke bottles and with a huge core focus on sustainability, Kimushki has specially created 1 L refills for all customers and stockists.  This way, you can save your bottles and save money, all the whilst making small changes that can help save the environment.

Taking it a step further, Kimushki has also created a ‘barrel range’ with potential home, office, bars, restaurants and venue partners in mind.  ‘The Brave’ barrels come in both 3 litres and 6 litres versions – making refills easier and with less wastage in mind.

Be sure to get your hands on the award-winning ‘The Brave’.
