Animals in need of rescue and care rely on organisations like the Cape of Good Hope SPCA for a second chance. Now, cyclists can help support that work by joining Team SPCA for the 2027 Cape Town Cycle Tour.
The initiative encourages riders to turn their passion for cycling into support for animals, with donations raised helping the SPCA continue its work rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming animals.
Every ride can make a difference
For animals like Merle, finding a loving home starts with having access to safety and care. The Cape of Good Hope SPCA provides support for animals in need while helping them find families where they can settle permanently.
Through Team SPCA, cyclists can contribute to this work by raising donations as part of their participation in the Cape Town Cycle Tour 2027.
Rather than riding solely for the challenge, participants have an opportunity to use the event to support animal welfare and help more animals find homes.
How to join Team SPCA
Cyclists interested in supporting the cause can sign up to ride for Team SPCA at the 2027 Cape Town Cycle Tour.
The initiative invites participants to raise donations that will help sustain the SPCA’s rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming efforts.
Those who would like to get involved can find more information through the Team SPCA sign-up link.
For animal lovers, joining the team offers a way to combine cycling with a cause that gives vulnerable animals a better chance of finding a loving family.
