Tintswalo at Boulders is hosting another one of its popular culinary weekends, this time with an Italian theme and hosted by resident head chef Dustin Hammond.
The food, wine and culinary experience will begin with welcome drinks and canapés, followed by a 4-course Italian-style dinner and wine pairing with Vergelegen Wine Estate on the long weekend of 16 June 2023.

Tintswalo Boulders Boutique Villa is surrounded by fynbos and has a unique beachfront location with unobstructed views of Boulders Beach and its world-famous resident colony of endangered African penguins.
Its upcoming culinary weekend, with an Italian theme and hosted by resident head chef Dustin Hammond, will begin with welcome drinks and canapés on the afternoon of Friday, 16 June, followed by a 4-course Italian-style dinner and wine pairing with Vergelegen Wine Estate.
Guests will awaken on Saturday morning to the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and pastries baking in the oven. Breakfast will be served on the terrace overlooking Boulders Beach, followed by Chef Dustin’s breadmaking workshop and a light lunch.
The afternoon will be free for relaxation. Book a spa treatment or a water activity, explore the treasures of Simon’s Town or watch penguins play on the beaches along the boardwalk.
Guests will gather late in the afternoon for an Italian Pasta Masterclass with Chef Dustin, followed by an Italian family-style dinner. The chef will make full use of Tintswalo Boulders’ open kitchens to interact with guests while preparing meals. Chef Dustin began his career in Durban at Hartford House and Nambithi Hills after attending the 1000 Hills Chef School in KwaZulu-Natal. In 2017, he started as a pastry chef at Tintswalo Atlantic before moving up to sous chef and then to Tintswalo Boulders as head chef.
A lazy Vergelegen Bubbly Brunch will be served on Sunday morning, with a late check-out at 15h00 to allow for additional optional spa treatments or simply some relaxation time for guests to enjoy the luxury and comfort of their beautiful suites before the start of another busy week.
Weekend rates for two people start at R13 135 and include luxury accommodation for two nights (Friday, 16 June and Saturday, 17 June), as well as all meals and selected beverages served during the culinary experiences.
Beverages other than those included in culinary experiences, spa treatments and off-site activities, gratuities and any other personal items are not included, and spa treatments must be reserved in advance.
