The Little Givers Crèche and Kindergarten in Devon Valley, Stellenbosch, is a vital resource for underprivileged children, providing more than just education and care.
Many families in this community face the harsh realities of unemployment and insufficient income. Their living conditions, often in small, wooden structures housing up to 15 individuals, greatly hinder the children’s ability to study and grow.
Recognising this, Little Givers focuses on offering a nurturing environment where learning and socialising can flourish.

Little Givers explains that running such an establishment comes with significant costs. Utilities, rent, food and maintenance add up, requiring a monthly fee of R550 per child.
While parents contribute commendably, covering 32% of the costs in 2021, the fee remains a substantial burden.

The past three years saw generous support from corporations and individuals, but the financial year has brought a shortfall of R70 000.
In response, Little Givers has launched a crowdfunding campaign on BackaBuddy, raising over R17 000 towards the R70 000 goal.

While this achievement is noteworthy, more support is crucial to maintaining their operations and continuing their impactful work.
‘We appreciate your consideration and support in helping us make a difference in the lives of these deserving children,’ Little Givers says.
