1. Acrobranch Cape Town
The Acrobranch experience in Constantia will have kids navigating cargo nets, zip lines, barrels and much more. With a choice of four courses, each with its own challenges, kids aged 3 and up can tackle 18 obstacles designed to test their balance. Each adventure is closely monitored by regulated safety instructors. The park also offers a beginners’ course named Monkey Moves, which is perfect for those who want to take things a bit slower. The course gradually increases in height from 1.1m, so still offers that pinch of excitement.

2. Bugz Family PlayPark
Bugz is the largest playpark in the Western Cape. The massive outdoor playground has been carefully designed to challenge minds, work muscles and burn energy. Also featuring an indoor area for kids between the ages of 2 and 10, filled with obstacles, puzzles and imaginary play.

3. The Rotary Blue Train Park
A good old classic, this park has been operating for more than 60 years. Its miniature ‘Old Lady’ blue train has transported the hearts of both young and old. The site also features a mini skate park, a 6m half pipe dirt bike track, a cement path bike track, pedal push carts, a 30m zip-line, two long slides, see-saws, a climbing rock, two jungle gyms, an obstacle course, an astroturf soccer pitch and much more. An onsite kiosk has a selection of ice creams, chips, cold drinks and sweets on offer.

4. Wonderdal
This edutainment experience blends creative design, educational resources and technology to combine learning with play. Children aged 5 to 13 can explore the worlds of science, nutrition and nature via an array of developmentally designed indoor and outdoor experiences. Packages include bookings for day passes, school groups and kids’ parties.

5. FREEDOM Adventure Park
This family-friendly venue offers breakfast, lunch and even dinner from a fully equipped wood-burning pizza oven. Parents can also stow away in private ‘hustle work pods’ while the kids have fun. Freedom offers a 50 m long hi-line indoor rope course, climbing walls, a customized trampoline dodgeball arena and so much more.

6. Ipic Play
Ipic is the largest indoor adventure park in the Northern Suburbs that also features an on-site Knead Bakery and cafe. Kids under 2 can choose between colouring on a digital wall and seeing their art come to life, a mini slide and play area, while kids between 3 and 12 years can slide down a giant spiral tunnel, climb up walls, jump on different sized trampolines, gladiator pit and even a wave-like slide – and more.

8. be.UP Park
This indoor fun park caters to adults and kids alike with trampolines, climbing walls, a kids’ maze and an aerial play area. Parents are encouraged to participate with their kids or can relax in the cafe with good food and free Wi-Fi. The cash-free playground also has a dedicated soft play area for the little ones.

9. The Kids Shack
Children up to 12 years old can play in a garden setting with jungle gyms, zip across a bike and scooter track, zip line and splash play. The large indoor play space is equipped with climbing gear, fantasy play, soft play and crafts for rainy days. 10. Bounce World
As the largest inflatable play area in South Africa, Bounce World has offered kids 9 years and under a safe space to play for more than 23 years. The site is also home to the Montague Action Sports Arena in Montague, featuring seven international courts which can be modified to play action cricket, action soccer or action netball.
