Avid film fanatics and outdoor movie enthusiasts across the Cape wished and hoped, and The Galileo Open Air Cinema has answered!
The team has granted us a bonus month by extending the close of their 12th season to Saturday, 25 May, thus gifting us one last month to relish a unique outdoor movie experience under the twinkling starlit sky before next season.

Weekday movie screenings are set against the natural backdrop of Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden and the urban oasis of Central Park in Century City, and screenings on select Fridays and Saturdays invite you to movie nights hosted at vineyards in Paarl, Franschhoek, Stellenbosch and Somerset West.

10 Things I Hate About You is a 1999 teen romantic comedy film.

The Notebook is a romantic drama film based on the 1996 novel of the same name.
The film stars Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams as a young couple who fall in love in the 1940s. Their story is read from a notebook in the present day by an elderly man (James Garner), telling the tale to a fellow nursing home resident (Gena Rowlands).

Encanto is a 2021 American animated musical fantasy film by Walt Disney Studios.
Encanto follows a multigenerational Colombian family, the Madrigals, led by a matriarch whose children and grandchildren – except Mirabel Madrigal – receive magical gifts from a miracle, which they use to help the people in their rural community, called the Encanto.
When Mirabel learns that the family is losing their magic, she sets out to find out why and save the family and house.
