While the rest of the province is under lockdown and can only dream of visiting wine farms, it seems lucky leopards are taking the opportunity to visit local wine farms. In Stellenbosch, one got his own private visit.

Rustenburg Wine Estate in Stellenbosch recently looked over their game camera footage and came across a beautiful visitor.

“Checked our game cameras and look who we found! One of our beautiful resident leopards out and about for an evening drink,” said the estate on Facebook.

In the footage the Cape leopard can be seen stopping next to a puddle of water, creating a reflection in the water as he or she looks around calmly, taking in the stunning wine estate’s atmosphere before moving on.

The estate has resident leopards who pop up on the game camera feed every now and then, a sighting, however, is still considered somewhat or a rarity and a blessing.
