The Galileo Open Air Cinema introduces a variety of new and old movies, a Bollywood film, a returning venue and a themed night this November.
Bollywood night in November
Bollywood lovers rejoice, Kal Ho Naa Ho is screening at Central Park in Century City on Friday, 13 November. The popular romantic musical from 2003 follows Naina, a girl living a dreary life, until Aman walks into her life. Even though she loves him, Aman (Shah Rukh Khan) claims to be a married man and convinces Rohit, her friend, to woo her.
Experience bits of Indian culture with henna painting, themed music, activations and more.

On Wednesdays we wear pink
Fan-favourite and cult-classic, Mean Girls (2004), returns to The Galileo on Wednesday, 11 November at Kirstenbosch Garden. Cady (Lindsay Lohan) joins a public school in Illinois. Her two classmates warn her to stay away from a coterie of girls led by queen bee Regina (Rachel McAdams), but Cady joins them until she gets smitten with Regina’s ex-love and chaos, drama and hilarity ensue.
Dress to impress in pink, red and white as this themed event has a prize for the best-dressed!

Returning to Durbanville
The Galileo returns to the beloved Meerendal Estate in Durbanville. Having hosted many successful Galileo events, the return to this awesome venue is a boon for Durbanville locals and those travelling from Cape Town and surrounds.
Only a 40-minute drive from the Cape Town CBD, Meerendal is a close alternative to the Cape Winelands and a short trip to explore the renowned Durbanville Wine Valley.

November newbies
It’s never too late to find your new favourite movie, so The Galileo have scheduled some contemporary films from 2025 alongside the classics.
Materialists is a new-age romcom starring the it-girl Dakota Johnson, in-demand Pedro Pascal and certified-hunk Chris Evans as Lucy (Johnson), a young and ambitious New York City matchmaker, finds herself torn between a seemingly perfect match and her imperfect ex-boyfriend.
See the love triangle unfold on Thursday, 26 November at Kirstenbosch Garden.
Sinners was the breakout horror/action film from 2025 that follows a set of twins who try to leave their troubled lives behind by returning to their Mississippi hometown to start again, only to discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back.
Michael B. Jordan won the Oscar for Best Actor in a Leading Role as he played the part of both leads (twins), and the film also scooped up the Oscars for Best Original Screenplay, Best Cinematography and Best Original Score.
This is not to be missed on Friday, 27 November, also at Kirstenbosch Garden.
See you #UnderTheStars
