Non-profit organisation Be MyVoice has gone the extra mile in celebrating Youth Day this year by hosting The Great Youth Day Bake Off, a baking competition for special needs youth.

With 2000 cookies, 400 cupcakes and 250 waffles already pre-baked for the event, aspiring bakers will set to work to showcase just how creative they are with their cookie-glazing skills.
This Youth Day celebration is set to welcome 100 special needs youth, accompanied by their facilitators and caregivers. The event will be nothing short of spectacular, as it rolls out a red carpet entrance complete with applause, sea cadet escorts, fun characters and colourful balloons. Participants are encouraged to bring their enthusiasm as they prepare to bake up a storm.

The Be MyVoice organisation was created by Joshua Sandy, a 15-year-old living with autism, with the help of his parents, to help spread awareness and education on autism spectrum disorder within the disadvantaged communities of South Africa.
