Trevor Noah started the new year off with a bang, as the South African comedian has just splashed R420-million [$27.5 million] on a stunning mansion in Bel Air.

According to Architectural Digest, the three-story mansion features six bedrooms and 11 bathrooms, a movie theater, steam room, library, office, and gym. The backyard of the mansion features an infinity pool that overlooks the city. There is also a two-story cabana offering both covered patio seating and a rooftop sundeck.

Noah purchased his new home from Mark Rios, a L.A architect who built the 11000-square-foot home for himself. Rios told Architectural Digest in 2017 that he was inspired by traditional Japanese architecture when designing the mansion.

“The library, in particular, was fashioned after a room in Kyoto, using heavy, dark timbers. And the spa resembles old ryokans I’ve visited in Japan,” Rios said.

Noah’s latest purches comes shortly after Enterainment Tonight reported that the comedian and his grilfriend, actress Minka Kelly, where on the hunt for a new house towards the end of 2020.
