Lights, camera, animate! The Mother City is buzzing with excitement as the Cape Town International Animation Festival approaches, with Scene It App’s #AnimateCT Challenge taking centre stage.

The #AnimateCT Challenge is South Africa’s first Street Animation Festival, in which animators from across the country and anyone with a creative eye have been submitting videos set in ten selected hotspots around the Mother City under the theme of ‘Unexpected’.
Courtesy of the Scene It App and a partnership with some of the country’s most prominent names in animation, the public is invited to a visual feast and a chance to win a grand prize.
Viewers can choose to scavenge it out, treasure-hunt style, by tracking down the QR codes available at each of the #AnimateCT hotspots around the city for a peek inside the minds of our ever-growing pool of talent and the creative perspectives with which they envision our city.
A fun day out for the whole family or a date with a difference, locals and visitors can visit some (or all) of these enchanting locations, view the animated versions of their surroundings, and vote for the one they like best.

As alluded to a moment ago, voting and subscribing for updates enters you into a draw for a chance to win an epic prize sponsored by The Heriot: 7 nights each calendar month for one year, in one of their sought-after self-catering apartments in the buzzing heart of Cape Town’s city centre.
