Well-known artists, teachers and gallerists will advise, encourage and answer questions, and top works will be selected for exhibition. Ndiza, meaning ‘to fly’, was launched by Gavin Furlonger, George Reeves, Michaela Limberis and Michele Roelofsen to strengthen the accessibility of commercial art spaces and engage new audiences.
Cape {town} Etc discount: From gorgeous wineland retreats and luxury pamper packages, to exhilarating experiences and meals for two, there is something for everyone (and every budget). View exclusive offers here.
The gallery’s inspiration, which aligns with the theme of Youth Day, comes from a Buckmiller Fuller quote: ‘In order to change an existing paradigm you do not struggle to try and change the problematic model. You create a new model and make the old one obsolete.’ Ndiza Gallery is an elegant, immersive and unintimidating space where visitors can engage in the historical provenance of each piece of art via an interactive phone app.
Interested artists are welcome to bring three of their best pieces for evaluation. Entry is free.
