Cape Town Pride has unveiled the schedule for the 2024 Pride Festival with the theme ‘Out, Proud & Fabulous’.

The three-week festival will run until 3 March, featuring the Pride Parade on 2 March, a significant event on the calendar. The parade concludes at the Green Point Track, followed by festivities at the Pride Mardi Gras.
Key events include:
- Pride’s Got Talent on 15 February
- Mother City Sirens – Way of the Rose on 17 February
- CTL Social: Pride Women’s Party and Pride Buddies on 24 February
- Pets for Pride Promenade Walk on 25 February
- Apostles of a Civilised Vice on 27 February, Prejudice & Pride – Queers in Swedish Cinema on 28 February
- The Cape Town Pride Parade and the Cape Town Pride Mardi Gras on 2 March.
The festival’s highlight is the Pride Mardi Gras following the Pride Parade.

The Pride Mardi Gras boasts a line-up including South Africa’s Queen of Queens:
- Manila von Teez
- Jarrad Ricketts
- Sama nominee for Best Pop Album in 2019: Emogen Moore
- The Trans-formers
- Mama Africa of Drag, Belinda Qaqamba Ka-Fassie.
Stella Rosé will make her Pride debut, accompanied by the Village and a performance by the Kings Colab drag king troupe. MCs Naythan Kayser and Tollie Parton will host, with DJs Kixi, PJ Smith, and Archie providing the entertainment.
