The Cape Town International Jazz Festival (CTIJF) will take place on 3 and 4 May 2024, promising a musical experience that has been sorely missed.

The festival has revamped its stages, formerly known as Kippies, Moses Molelekwa and Rosies, and they now go by the names Sapphire, Ruby, Emerald and the new outdoor stage, Topaz.
The outdoor stage, Topaz, adds an extra thrill to the celebration, offering performances under the open sky. This year’s jazz fest will be a dazzling showcase of talent and diverse music styles.
‘We have worked hard over the past few months to compile a programme that pays homage to the heritage of our jazz roots, but also speaks to the exciting future of music that is embracing all jazz-related genres as anthems for a new tomorrow,’ says Lindsay Rhoda, Head of Talent at CTIJF.

This year’s CTIJF is also bringing a fresh vibe with the introduction of Flavour Junction on the ground floor, right by the Topaz stage. Festival goers can enjoy food trucks, diverse bars, and tasty treats to keep their energy high throughout the night.

If you fancy a more upscale dining experience, options are available just a step away from the main stage. The Howler cashless system will also be in play this year.
Moreover, festival organisers, espAfrika, have introduced Jazz Ensemble, an enhanced VIP hospitality package featuring a luxurious lounge with a buffet and complimentary drinks. Jazz Café provides an alternative option for festivalgoers desiring more than a standard admission ticket, offering access to free catering and an exclusive cash bar.
And there’s more – in response to popular demand, the artist masterclasses will make a comeback. These sessions will occur at the CTICC on Friday, 3 May and Saturday, 4 May. Attendees will have a unique chance to gather valuable insights from some of the music industry’s most accomplished minds.
