The District Six Museum and Koe’sister Magazine have joined forces with a shared vision of uplifting the local Cape Town community and creating a vibrant trading platform for entrepreneurs.
With a focus on community uplifting and cultural heritage, they have organised an Expo & Market series in 2023, featuring various themed events throughout the year. This collaborative initiative aims to foster a beautiful and safe environment for local traders and celebrate the rich diversity of Cape Town.
Kicking off the series, the Youth Month Expo & Market will take place on Saturday, 24 June from 10am to 4pm. This event aims to empower and showcase the talents and entrepreneurial spirit of young individuals in the community.
Visitors can expect a wide range of local traders offering products and services in arts, business, education, beauty, wellness, food, fashion and home decor. The Glen Robertson Trio, a resident band, will provide a lively musical backdrop to the event. Also, check out these markets in Pretoria that foodies will love!

The District Six Museum stands as a living memorial to the people of District Six, who endured the devastation of forced removals and the denial of their basic human rights.
The Homecoming Centre invites the community to participate in activities focused on music, literature and art, promoting dignity, identity and coexistence among different races. The museum plays a vital role in advocating for human rights and democracy in South Africa.
