Just in time for Christmas, Cape Town’s biggest gifting showcase is set to open its doors at The Baxter Theatre Centre from 2 to 6 November. The five-day Fair brings together 170 of South Africa’s most creative talents in fashion, ceramics, home décor, jewellery, skincare, children’s toys and clothing, and incredible food – all wrapped into one.
The lifestyle event is jammed full of inspirational ideas and hand-picked innovative products – a celebration of gifts with a difference. There are gorgeous home and garden décor items, stunning fashion for young and old, endless must-have gifts, and a deli section that is a feast of delicious and exotic food gifts.

“Visitors can expect a delicious variety of food, craft beers, gin on tap and award-winning wines from the Constantia Wine Route – and live music on the Friday evening and throughout the weekend,” says owner of The Gift Fair, Carryn Wiltshire.
The Gift Fair, previously known as The Constantia Gift Fair, relocated to the Baxter Theatre Centre in 2020 and has made this magnificent venue its new home. The building’s multi-level foyer areas are transformed into a space of gifting wonder for five days. In addition, Baxter’s gardens are the ideal springtime shopping location to meet family and friends in-between shopping.
“We absolutely love our new home at The Baxter,” says Carryn. “The venue has such character and is transformed into the most wonderful space with all our gorgeous retail stands. We also love the opportunity to contribute towards supporting the local arts community.”

I absolutely love the new location. The offering of exhibitors and food vendors is exceptional, the location and the layout at The Baxter Theatre is fantastic and the all-round energy and atmosphere surpasses almost any event I have participated in either as an exhibitor or as a customer.” Des Hutchinson, owner.
