The 1995 Proteas Netball team will be visiting Cape Town to support the current Spar Proteas as they compete in the Netball World Cup.

The Western Cape minister of cultural affairs and sport, Anroux Marais, will host the Proteas Netball team, who won silver at the Netball World Championships in Birmingham in 1995.
After making South African history, three members, including Irene van Dyk, Marlene Wagner and Debbie Hamman received the State President’s Merit Award from then-president Nelson Mandela in 1996.
The players will travel from Australia, New Zealand and all over South Africa to reunite in Cape Town.
