In a powerful display of skill and determination, the South African netball team, the Proteas, delivered a resounding victory over Trinidad & Tobago in the Netball World Cup.
The match, which took place in the CTICC, witnessed the Proteas outshine their opponents with a commanding scoreline of 69-28.
From the outset, South Africa demonstrated their prowess on the court, with slick movements and sharp passes keeping the flow of goals unstoppable.
Led by their outstanding shooters, Ine-Marí Venter and Nichole Taljaard, the Proteas showcased their proficiency in converting opportunities into points, delighting the crowd with their precision.

As the game progressed, the Proteas maintained their momentum, dominating both in attack and defence. Their formidable efforts left little room for Trinidad & Tobago to mount a comeback, as South Africa’s lead extended throughout the match.
The halftime break saw the Proteas maintain a solid 33-15 lead, showcasing their ability to dominate the possession of the ball. With a 30-shot lead in hand, South Africa continued to shine in the third and fourth quarters, extending their lead to secure the well-deserved victory.
Ine-Marí Venter’s impressive performance in the shooting circle contributed significantly to the Proteas’ triumph, as she showcased her accuracy and consistency throughout the game. Taljaard’s flawless goal-scoring also played a pivotal role in South Africa’s dominant performance.
