Zunaid Moti’s free online entrepreneurship programme, MotiMoves, has announced that it is serving as the main sponsor of South Africa’s women’s field hockey team.

This comes as the MotiMoves Protea Women’s Hockey Team seeks to score a crucial win this week in the African qualifiers for next year’s highly anticipated Olympic Games in France.
‘I have been blown away by the determination and sheer talent on display in our national women’s hockey team, and was immediately eager to come on board to back them in their journey to qualify for the 2024 Olympics,’ said Moti, a renowned business maverick and successful billionaire.
The MotiMoves Protea Women’s Hockey team is currently playing in the hotly contested African Hockey Road to Paris 2024 tournament in Pretoria, which wraps today. Featuring seven teams from across Africa, the tournament’s winners will secure a coveted spot in the upcoming 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

The Olympics is considered the pinnacle of global hockey competitions, and just 12 women’s international hockey sides will be able to compete for the honour of bringing home the prestigious gold medals against countries such as France, Australia, the Netherlands and China.
Moti has committed R30 million in funding since MotiMoves’ launch in May for use over 12 months.
A group to watch, the MotiMoves Protea Women’s Hockey team is currently ranked 21st in the world. They boast a phenomenal track record on the African and international stage and are considered the favourites in the current tournament.
