The countdown to one of the city’s most iconic social events, the World Sports Betting Cape Town Met, has begun.

The event, which will take place on January 27 at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth, will include thrilling racing as well as a variety of live entertainment from local performers and guest DJs.
A variety of culinary options showcasing some of the best cuisine available will be available in the hospitality lounges and general areas, along with an official after-party presented by Heineken Silver and a spectacular fashion show presented by top SA fashion designer Gavin Rajah.
The theme of this year’s race, Cape Splendour, is a fusion of glamour, grace and glory and a tribute to the fairest Cape’s rich history and the role it plays in the city’s sporting and social life.
The organisers of the 2024 World Sports Betting Cape Town MET have announced three new ticket options for those hoping to attend the year’s biggest racing event.

Tickets for the Heineken Concert Terrace include admission to the event, dedicated food trucks, a Heineken public cash bar, live entertainment throughout the day, a big screen showing all of the racing action and access to the official after-party presented by Heineken Silver. Tickets cost R750 per person.
The Racing Pavilion Package gives ticket holders access to prime seating, complimentary drinks until 6pm, snacks on arrival and lunch, access to the after-party, a dedicated bar and impeccable service. Groups of ten or more will be given reserved seating and their own waiter. Tickets are R4 200 per person.
Garden Picnic Area tickets provide a haven in the midst of all the excitement. Ticket holders will receive a picnic box for one or two people, a complimentary bottle of bubbles, a cash bar and tote, a big screen to watch the racing and access to the after-party. The cost of a ticket is R2 950 per person or R5 500 per couple.
There are also General Access Unreserved Grandstand Tickets available, which provide grandstand views of the racing action on the day. These unreserved outdoor seats will provide easy access to Totes and a wide range of food and beverage vendors. Tickets cost R150 per person and do not include entry to the after-party.
There will be no under-18s allowed at the event.
It is fitting that the revitalised event will be held at the recently renovated Hollywoodbets Kenilworth Racecourse.
