On 2 July, 2023, reports of a dog buried alive were being passed around. Swift action by Inspector Lee Prins of the local SPCA saved the dog just in time from a horrible fate.
The dog, later named Courage, was suffering from extreme neglect. He was unvaccinated, un-neutered and severely underfed.
