The South African Weather Service has issued an extremely high fire danger conditions in the Western and Northern Cape.

The high fire danger conditions are expected over the Central Karoo District Municipality of the Western Cape, as well as over the Dawid Kruiper, Kai !Garib, !Kheis, Siyathemba and Kareeberg local municipalities of the Northern Cape.

The SA Weather Service detailed the forecast for each affected area. ‘Conditions are such that the FDI index is above 75. Under these conditions fires may develop and spread rapidly resulting in damage to property and possible loss of human and/or animal life.’
As reported by News24, the morning and evening will be covered by clouds along the south-west and south coast, offering a cool to warm humidity. However, the west and central interior will be hot.
