Update:
SAPS has confirmed the incident to Cape {town} Etc, stating that Claremont police attended to a stabbing incident at a school in Imam Haron Street, Claremont on Wednesday afternoon at about 1.30pm.
SAPS clarified that three learners sustained stab wounds following an argument.
“Assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm case was registered for investigation.”
An 18-year-old male has been arrested and will appear in the Wynberg Magistrates court once he has been charged.

According to News24, three learners from Batavia High School have sustained stab wounds and injuries following an altercation this afternoon.
A fourth 18-year-old learner has been arrested in connection with the incident, according to Lieutenant Col Marnus Fourie, Claremont Vispol commander.
News24 states that a fight broke out after 1pm today when three learners attacked the fourth outside of school premises. The learner who was the victim of the attack pulled out a knife in retaliation.
“All three sustained lesser-severe cut and stab wounds. They were taken to the hospital for treatment. The learner yielding the knife was arrested and is being held at Claremont Police Station. The knife has been recovered,” says Fourie.
Cape {town} Etc is still awaiting a response from the SAPS.
Multiple school children were reportedly stabbed and assaulted at a school in Claremont on Wednesday afternoon.
The incident was reported to the Harlyn response unit. No further information has been disclosed yet.
