An inspiring young South African lad has gained over 200 000 followers on Instagram in just over one month, using social media to keep himself accountable on his fitness journey.

Accountability is key when it comes to fitness. A young man named Tyron Kretzmann, hailing from Stellenbosch, has leveraged this fact to his advantage, using social media as a means to keep himself accountable for smashing his daily goals.

After starting his inspiring fitness account at the beginning of March, Tyron has amassed over 200 000 Instagram followers in five short weeks. For each follower gained, Tyron vows to walk one inch (2.54 cm), above and beyond his daily workouts.
His end goal? To keep it up until he has a six-pack.
In an introduction video posted to his account, Kretzmann says that he started his fitness journey weighing 160kg, on a mission of wanting to make a change.
At present, the young man has lost over 40kg – the transformation is evident upon a quick scroll through his daily uploads, which span a total of 46 days and counting.
Even on rest days, Kretzmann has found ways to move his body and keep himself accountable for the change he’s chasing. This determination has scored Tyron support from followers around the globe.

From taking up boxing classes to pilates and even a 10k run, Kretzmann’s consistency and commitment to moving his body and bettering his health should stand as an inspiration for those who are struggling to motivate themselves.
