Genesis Williams has died in hospital after being shot in the head in a shooting in Delft on Tuesday, May 25.
Genesis and her father were at a shop when the alleged gang-related shooting occurred. Her father, Cavin was killed and he reportedly shielded her from the gunfire.
Genesis’ mother, Candice Lottering, consented to the life-support being switched off on Friday, May 28. Her organs will be donated to medical research, reports IOL.
Genesis leaves behind a baby brother. “My son is only two years old and he doesn’t understand what has happened,” Candice told IOL.
