Yesterday, President Cyril Ramaphosa reshuffled the cabinet, and significant changes were made. The changes included naming Kgosientsho Ramokgopa as the minister of electricity and the firing of three cabinet ministers and a deputy minister.

Whether Ramokgopa will tackle his new role with success is yet to be seen, but he has a background in leadership roles.

His academic qualifications include Bachelor of Science (BSC) in Civil Engineering from the University of Durban, Westville, a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Pretoria, a Master’s Degree from UNISA in Business Leadership and a PHD in Public Affairs from the University of Pretoria.
