Tragedy struck a 59-year-old Fish Hoek mother after her body was discovered below a look-out point on Chapman’s Peak earlier today, reports the False Bay Echo.
Susanna “Soekie” Rademeyer Jacobs and her daughter, Melissa Jacobs, 26, were reported missing on Friday, October 29. While the body of Susanna was recovered by a NSRI (national sea rescue institute) helicopter around 1 pm today, Melissa’s body was found washed up on Noordhoek Beach on Monday, November 1.
Robbery does not appear to be the motive, however, there are no further details on what occurred before their untimely deaths.
Their Yorkshire terrier, Shona, was discovered by investigators. The dog reportedly waited for five days without food or water at the spot where her owners passed away. The loyal pup has been handed over to a family member.
This is a developing story.
