A large group of Palestine supporters have gathered in the Cape Town CBD, calling for the liberation of the besieged Palestinian people during International Al Quds day.

During the march, ANC member Faiez Jacobs spoke out against the treatment of Palestinians.

The march is a response to attacks on Palestinians by the Israeli Defence Force. It started at 2pm in Keizersgracht Street, after which the group marched to parliament.
Retired Judge Siraj Desai also addressed the crowd, referring to Israel as ‘Zionists’.

The EFF’s Nazier Paulsen also participated in the march:
