In the 16-second video posted on Twitter recently, two officials can be seen riding on a seesaw while a Metro Police and Traffic vehicle are parked on the outskirts of the play area.
The video was taken by an unknown person from behind the gate of what appears to be a residential property across the road from a park.
While filming, the man can be heard expressing his disappointment, adding that the cops will probably return to fining motorists once they have finished their playtime.
The video has been shared hundreds of times with many Twitter users questioning the pair’s conduct.

While some defended their recreational activities, pointing out just how difficult ‘adulting’ could be, others were critical of their behaviour, adding that they should have been combating crime or making the roads safer.
Here are some of their comments:

- ‘Guys, do you not get or take breaks at work?! Take your lunch break and go find a swing and have fun…’ @CranberryNessa
- ‘As long as the neighbourhood they are serving is safe, I really don’t see any reason why they shouldn’t do this.’ @davidlimitlezz

Meanwhile, Mayco member for Safety and Security, JP Smith, confirmed that while the city was aware of the video, they were unable to identify the officers involved.

He also added that no official complaints had been received regarding their conduct.
‘We have no idea who is responsible for filming it and no official complaint was received about the actions of the officers.’ he said.
‘Unfortunately, given the angle of the video, it is not possible to identify the vehicle or the staff to ascertain when and where exactly this took place.’
‘Should any member of the public be able to verify these details, the City will look into it.’
Smith said that generally speaking, staff were expected to maintain the highest level of professionalism at all times.
‘However, staff are not robots and the nature of enforcement work is incredibly stressful.’
‘If this was in fact while they were on a break, it would be remiss of anyone to try and turn it into an issue.’’
