As lockdown and quarantine around the world continues a new trend of dressing up for bin collection day has sparked joy across the globe.

A trend that originated in Australia is catching on as more people are celebrating their #binday by dressing up to take out the trash.

It’s true, 2020 is the year that your bin goes out more than you do and people are not letting it get them down.

The trend has encouraged people from Queensland to Cape Town to dress up in their best clothes or a little silly number while taking out their dustbins.

Since it started, the trend has picked up in popularity with whole families joining in on the fun, and even a few eccentric characters.

| BIN DAY | Said to the kids, let’s dress up. They were like why? I said, we are taking the bins out.
