The smell of fish hangs in the air on Kloof Nek Road after a truck transporting seafood flipped and crashed into the fence of an apartment complex earlier today.

Emergency services were called to the scene where crates lay strewn across the road this morning.
No fatalities have been reported but eyewitnesses said the driver was able to walk away from the wreckage.
However, according to Mayco member for Safety and Security JP Smith, the driver and four other road users had sustained minor injuries.
‘A heavy-duty articulated vehicle lost control and collided with several passenger vehicles before overturning,’ he posted on Facebook shortly after the incident.

‘Motorists are requested to seek alternative routes and avoid the area until the scene has been cleared.’
‘The truck driver was taken to hospital with slight injuries, along with another 4 persons.’

A section of the road between Power and the Glory and Bella Ombre Road was closed and traffic diverted.
