Four people have been charged with the robbery and murder of Parklands resident Vandy Fourie.
The body of the 53-year-old was discovered on 28 March at her home in Langley Crescent during a routine police wellness check, which was prompted by concerned family and friends who could not get a hold of her.

Investigations revealed that she had been robbed and murdered, and her vehicle had been stolen.
As reported by News24, Table View detectives and the Crime Prevention Unit traced Gift Nkhama, Kelly Mambazukeni, Patricia Mambozukumi and Ranganai Tafa to Witsand, a suburb of Atlantis.
There, police located Fourie’s vehicle along with most of her stolen belongings.
The group faces charges of murder, robbery, theft and theft of a motor vehicle. During the court proceedings, a Chichewa interpreter was made available for Nkhama, whose Malawi passport had expired. He also did not have any documentation allowing his stay in South Africa.
A Shona interpreter was unavailable for the other three suspects, who are all from Zimbabwe.
The matter was postponed to 9 April for further investigation as the police still need to obtain an official statement from the Department of Home Affairs to verify their immigration statuses. Criminal background checks are still being conducted.
They remain in custody in the Table View police station’s holding cells.
