“No matter how little money and how few possessions you own, having a dog makes you rich” – Louis Sabin
This heartening story goes to show that anyone, no matter how rich or poor or how dire their circumstances, can make a positive difference and enjoy a fulfilled, purpose-driven life.
The world celebrates the legacy of Madiba, and the Animal Welfare Society of SA are hoping that you will join hands with them this Mandela Day on July 18, and follow the selfless example set by these two young South Africans who decided to stop and make a difference by saving the life of an animal that everyone else chose to ignore.
They may be young but they have experienced hardship. This has made them resilient and empathetic to the needs of those less fortunate.
They have learnt to cherish relationships and experienced the benefits of sharing and being kind, and there is no denying that their compassion speaks volumes and provides a voice for the voiceless.
Their actions speak louder than words and this is how we are hoping you will choose to celebrate this Mandela Day.
