Many of us have felt the frustration of having a product or service not work the way we want and ringing a call centre to voice our frustrations is just one of the ways we get things done.
Unfortunately, there are a few customers out there that forget that the voice helping them on the other end is a human being dealing with their own frustrations and emotions.
We’ve all heard horror stories around working in the customer service industry, but seeing it hits a little differently.
Social media user, Ntombifuthi Goba decided to give a face to the voice on the other end by sharing a heartbreaking video of herself as she appeared to be helping a customer.
Tears can be seen streaming down her face as she does her best to keep herself together. Goba captioned the video #myreality and the video has since been watched close to 700 000 times.
Many took to the comments section to share their support:
“Yoh I’ve been there… Not a pretty scene trust you me. Literally ended my call, went straight to the ladies and cried my eyes out, came back took the next call,” one user wrote.
“I know how you feel. when I was working from home during covid. I worked half my shift in tears. And when that call comes in you have to focus your voice to sound okay, even though you just wanna SCREAM, ” said another.
