South Africans will be treated to a beautiful display of the supermoon tonight at 8.37pm – if the weather permits, of course.
A supermoon refers to a new or full moon that is within 90 percent of its closest point to Earth, as coined by astrologer Richard Nolle. And South Africans are lucky enough to view the moon at its peak brightest during the dark of night.
If the cloudy skies spoil your views tonight, don’t fret – the supermoon can still be enjoyed for the next two nights.
