If you love the crunch of KFC‘s classic Colonel Burger or the zing of their famous Zinger wings, you’ve probably had daydreams of enjoying a hearty meal at this popular fast-food restaurant a few times.
It seems that one (or many) individuals have endeavoured to make that dream a reality by pretending to be a KFC Quality Assurance Inspector.
According to a statement released by KFC, these fake food inspectors have been “soliciting free food” from KFC stores across South Africa.
This news first surfaced in 2019, but was brushed off by KFC head honchos as “urban legend.”
However, as the years ticked by, more reports surfaced around these quality assurance impersonators.
Enough is enough, says KFC as they’ve recently announced they would be launching a private investigation to help track down the alleged fake food inspector by appointing Private Investigator Beckett Mathunzi.
Mathunzi’s job will be to establish the authenticity of the alleged reports, and if real, track down the identity of the fake inspector.
The free meals may soon come to an end for the fake KFC food inspector it seems.
