A light aircraft crashed near the Kraaifontein sewage plant this morning, injuring both pilots.

As per information shared by Titanium Securitas, an armed response and emergency service provider in Cape Town, whose medical team found two pilots outside the aircraft upon arrival, one of the pilots sustained serious injuries while the other had moderate injuries. The details of the incident are yet to be clarified.
Both patients were stabilised on scene by advanced life support paramedics. According to Titanium Securitas, one patient was flown to a level one trauma centre via Air Mercy Service (AMS), and the other was transported via road to the nearest health facility.
Local authorities on scene conducted a full investigation into the accident.
